• At 19.4 he says “BPL Always had sufficient plasma”...”was not limited by”...”RTC’s” - Would he then disagree with the Department of Health self-sufficiency report which at the top of Page 3 states: “Efficient operation of the unit required 3 times as much plasma as it was currently processing”... “Over the following years, RTCs struggled to provide the necessary amounts of plasma to BPL.” - Would he say that is accurate?

• Re his final sentences of 33.2 - Can we take him to Link Removed (at Para 8, bottom of page 4), would he then agree with the view expressed here that: "It is not expected that, given adequate publicity, difficulty will be encountered in recruiting the additional donors needed". So that view from 1977 hadn’t / hasn’t changed?

• By logic of the two questions above, would he agree that it would not have been overly difficult to increase plasma supply, if desired, to increase the production of Cryo? Even without affecting the amount of BPL concentrate being produced?

• 87.1 - Are there any in particular that stand out to him?

• Para 2 - In his view the line “was intended to reduce public anxiety”?

  • And, in 1983, DH assumed “AIDS was transmitted” by blood products?

• Para 3 - Where he says “public interest had waned” - on what basis was he saying this?

  • Was the delay between April and December that he describes a concern to him or the department?

  • Should the DH have issued a press release before December?

  • Was it acceptable for DH not to notify the public because “interest had waned”?

• Can he explain how this chronology was created?
